How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day, for a young mom.
Finding pieces to you.
Not always do you have the opportunity to enjoy OUESELVES. Thats a packed word! What you yourself as a busy mom? Lets take away all the physical things we have to accomplish a day for “our” day to run smoothly. These are the basics, get ready for the day. which means waking upi the kids, making sure everyone brushes their teeth and faces are washed. and if you have 2+ your probably doing the 6 am “its too early to fight” weather it be toothpaste or someone breathtling too loud that day. Where’s my shoe ( even though last night i told them to have them ready for the am) a few “lets go” after you all finally in the car and ready for the day to roll out its rug for you. School drop offs and “got your water? “ and “dont mess up you proyect”. Finally you are left with only you and your thoughts. the ones that flood you with checklist, dates, work task before you even get there. Then it hits you, i didnt say i love you i didnt get kiss this morning! what if something happens, what if. Its ok, its going to be ok. I also thought i was the only one. Finally you get work and you feel a little sense of you. Working with adults and having adult words come out of your mouth. Not everything you hear is a question about if a cheetah can beat a tiger or if indiigo is actually a color why is not just called blue or purple.
How much of these first few hours of you waking life are you actually you? what do you do for you each morning to make you feel like you morning routine includes you. not just you doing all the things to try to run an efficient morning or just stay above water most mornings.
When the day comes that you get to take a day off from the morning drill sergeant and the lunch and dinner options are not catered to anyone. Do you know what you will eat that day? Do you remember what its like to wake up, get ready, get in your car or home work area and just be? assuming it would still take time but the energy you have to dish out daily can be draining even if your not a yeller and your not always running late.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
